DGM-8LS RF Panel (Shown with Indoor Antenna)

DGM-8LS RF Panel (Shown with Indoor Antenna)

The DGM-8LS-RF is a Data Gathering Module that uses Coded Multiplex communications. The unit communicates with the SYSTEM 3505 Prism LX™ head end via polling radio. The DGM panel monitors eight end-ofline resistor alarm inputs per DGM panel. Information is passed to the SYSTEM 3505 Prism LX™ by a polling technique. Average time to next alarm, trouble, or secure is four seconds for systems with up to 500 DGM-8LS-RF panels.

The SYSTEM 3505 Prism LX™ polls all DGM-RF panels for any change in status. All status changes are held in memory by the DGM-RF, even if the condition clears. Inputs are supervised so any break in the input circuit will cause a “Trouble” condition to be reported by zone.

The DGM-8LS-RF is supplied with eight EOL inputs. A steel enclosure houses the DGM-8LS-RF with a step-down transformer, tamper switch, CAM lock, data link interface, RF Transmitter, 60-hour standby battery and built-in charger. Eight alarm and eight trouble LEDs show zone status. Each zone has a built in bypass switch for taking a zone out of service. Out of service zones report their condition to the head end equipment. Unless otherwise marked, all zone inputs and communication circuits are power limited. Please refer to DGM 8LS-RF Installation Manual, P/N 700167 for more details.

The DGM-8LS-RF is normally powered by 120 VAC through the internal step-down transformer, and uses 12 VDC as backup when AC is the main source. Loss of AC power for more than 15 seconds will be reported to the SYSTEM 3505 Prism LX™ for display. The length of time before a loss of power is reported to the system can be set by the user for any value between one and 90 seconds. Should the battery voltage drop below a preset level, a “Low Battery” condition will be reported for display. In normal operation, the DGM internal charger will keep the standby battery at full charge. The DGM-8LS-RF switches from AC to battery power without interruption in service.
