The
Q-Mux Point Identification System permits simplified, fully programmable
two-wire multiplexing. The system employs a single set of two telephone
grade wires to provide RS-485 communication for up to 32 nodes over
a distance of 5000 feet. Nodes require 12 volt power and can be located
at the head end or in the field. ID Modules are connected to a single
set of two telephone grade wires. Because the system requires so little
power, numerous inputs and outputs share the wires while retaining
their own individual identities. Q-Mux also allows the conversion
of contact switch networks, such as relays, to addressable networks.
System is immune to noise and false alarms by verifying data numerous
times before processing new conditions.
