The Digitize Multiplex
system allows you to mix and match any multiplex panel offered by
Digitize. Multiplex panels can be connected in a variety of protocols,
which include fiber optic, audio modem, dry cable pair, and polling
radio. The Multiplex option allows the System 3505/3500/3000 to connect
to 500 data gathering modules (DGM and Muxpads). When fiber optic
drivers are used, each DGM panel reshapes and repeats the signal.
The fiber drivers can accommodate 500 DGM panels (with 18 dB Flux
budget between each panel) in one loop.
DGM panels are available
from eight to sixty-four zones for connection to dry-contacts with
end of line (EOL) supervision, as well as through serial interfaces
to addressable control panels.
The multiplexing capability
provides the user with a two-way communication protocol. This allows
the System 3505/3500/3000 to control relays within the DGM panels or
control functions at the addressable control panels (such as reset
panel, bells off/bells on, acknowledge local panel, turn control
modules on/off) via Muxpad II. The Digitize Muxpad II allows connections
of various manufacturers' addressable control panels into one proprietary
alarm monitoring system. The mix and match capability allows integration
of old and new panels into the same system.

The surface-mounted panels
displayed in the Multiplex section of this online catalog provide
a variety of features and performance to meet your exact needs.
Any panel can be ordered with any communication protocol. Every
DGM panel or Muxpad is supplied with a single relay that can be
controlled by System 3505/3500/3000, with the relay control option. DGM-32/64
series of panels can have up to 16 addressable keypads connected.
The keypad is designed to operate in conjunction with the Phoenix
3505/3500/3000 computer system. The following features may be controlled
from the Phoenix 3505/3500/3000 terminal: Upload/download of PIN #'s
to keypads (250 four digit or 160 six digit per keypad), arm/disarm
from keypad or Phoenix 3505/3500/3000 terminal. The keypad itself can
arm/disarm any zone or multiple zones in the DGM 32/64 series of
panels.
Multiple keypads can
be assigned to the same zone. Any zone or group of zones in the
panel can be set to follow the arm/disarm status of the keypad zone.
The DGM Multiplex system
cannot be intermixed on the same line as the Q-Mux multiplex system.
